Eternally unable to sit still, Youko unfortunately wandered away from her family when she was young and, after failing to find her way back, somehow traveled all the way from The Viridian Labyrinth to Dragonhome. It was there that she met the young Snapper dragon Tarou, who for his own reasons seemed to be just as lost as she was. Traveling together, they soon bonded like brother and sister and in almost no time at all quickly became inseparable. Upon entering The Windswept Plateau they met Kiva, a guardian who kept them safe and taught them how to defend themselves should she not be around to defend them. Though fighting wasn't particularly Youko's interest, she loved sketching the beasts they would come across and sometimes fighting them was the only way to get them to stay still long enough for her to observe particular details for her drawings. Eventually they found Clan Guidance and were immediately taken in. Youko was given a job in sketching quick ID portraits of each of the lair's inhabitants (those residing there at the time and those who would later enter) for record keeping, and when there are no new dragons to sketch up she's usually scouting around the Plateau in search of new creatures to observe and sketch. She followed Kiva to the Shifting Expanse for moral support when Kiva decided to pursue further combat training, but in her support she happened to train alongside her friend and is now--to the surprise of many--quite the formidable opponent in a fight. This excitable spiral loves talking, both to herself and to others and even in her sleep. A lot of it often seems to jump from topic to topic, but she is quite knowledgeable about an array of subjects and those who offer her the patience often find themselves learning a thing or two each and every time they take the time to listen to her. Her bandanna is a cherished childhood gift from Tarou. |
