ALONDRA

Clan Inventor

Alondra, hatched and raised by a clan dwelling in the Shifting Expanse, is the clan's resident tinkerer and the mate of fellow Imperials Poseidon and Amphitrite. Her partners, as well as most of the other dragons who know her, would characterize her as affectionate and incredibly bright, if occasionally somewhat preoccupied.

She first became acquainted with the clan of the Tangled Wood when she ran into Poseidon at the Trading Post. Much to the alarm of both their clans, the conversation they struck up delayed both of them by several hours. Thankfully, each made their way home safely- but only after agreeing to meet again soon.

Poseidon's absences from the clan's compound grew lengthier as his attraction to Alondra grew, but the arrival of water-born Amphitrite complicated his courtship plans. Uncertain as to which relationship he wanted to pursue, and equally unsure as to how he was supposed to break off the other, Poseidon decided to ask close friend Shardas for advice. In jest, Shardas suggested he invite both the females over and let them duel for his affections. Though Poseidon quickly dismissed this as the Fae's usual nonsense, when in the course of their next meeting, Alondra expressed a desire to see the clan's lair complex, Poseidon began to reconsider the wisdom of his friend's advice, and agreed to her request without much further deliberation.

Upon her arrival in the Tangled Wood, Alondra quickly introduced herself to the rest of the clan, including Amphitrite. While Poseidon fled back to Shardas's side to ask his advice on what to do now, the two female Imperials began conversing, and talk quickly turned to Poseidon's rather peculiar behavior as of late. By the time the male Imperial returned to his lair, the sun had gone down and his two potential mates had become tangled up together and fallen asleep.

After a brief trip back to her home clan to inform them of her impending relocation, Alondra was accepted into the clan, and she and Amphitrite moved into Poseidon's lair. While her partners hunt and patrol the borders in defense of the rest of the clan, Alondra spends much of her time in their lair, stringing up inventions and bringing warmth and light to the cave.

Recently, she's begun toying with enhanced lightweight armor and animatronics, which she often shares with or gifts to her mates upon completion. They take the utmost care to keep her trinkets and inventions safe, and often keep said items with them at all times.

The Imperial trio's lair, in addition to being a source of entertainment for the more inquisitive clan members, also serves as a sort of hostel for the Shadowbinder's minions-in-training. Alondra's ability to manage these travelers while still providing useful and fascinating devices is a cause for amazement among her clan mates, and inspires nothing but admiration in both her partners.

The coming of going of exaltees and clan members alike usually makes the lair a hub for all sorts of activity, including the exchanging of gossip, which the Imperial professes to know nothing about. Somehow, though, she still seems to be the first to know whenever anything unusual happens within Clan Nightshade's territory- and it's difficult to tell if she ever forgets.
