Biography

Quote:
Shiro

These kind kitsune are more interested in their duties than causing problems for others. They tend to be dutiful and good-natured and is one of the few variants that prefers being in large groups. While they do like shoulder responsibility and do it well, they poke fun at just about anything.

Original Name: Samerium

Kitsune are a noble species. Their paths are relatively set from birth...that is, unless something happens to them.

Samerium was your perfect example of a Shiro Kitsune. He served his birth clan well, enjoying the company of his kitsune family until the day came for him to leave the nest and move on to a better life. He moved to a new clan that welcomed him with open claws and he did his very best to return their welcoming nature with gratitude and hard work. After a short period of time in the clan he worked his way up to becoming hoard manager, his ability to keep everything organized and not stab the clan members in the process proved invaluable. It was in this clan he laid his first nest, three young hatchlings who he adored dearly. Even though they did not bear resemblance to his kitsune heritage, he still loved them dearly and wanted to make sure that they found clans as good as his. He had children who loved him, a beautiful mate, and a psywurm familiar more loyal than anyone he had ever met before in his life.

All was going well.

On one of his regular solo flights over the edge of the wandering contagion with his psywurm running beneath him, he realized he had traveled a little further than usual, almost to the Rotrock Rim. With a swoop of his wings he moved to turn back around, but suddenly found that his muscles had locked up. He tried to open his maw to cry out in panic only to find that he couldn't. The last thing he saw before he crashed was a shimmering golden light slithering across his snout.

When he came to it felt like his body was on fire. He opened his eyes and looked around, realizing that he was somehow standing up. A pair of skydancer females were standing before him. Their beauty was untouchable by any female he had seen before, but the looks in their eyes as they regarded him and murmured to one another struck his noble heart with fear. Suddenly the purple female grinned, seeming to notice that he had awoken. "Oh, that' good, he's awake! See, I told you he'd survive the crash! He's stronger than the last one." The reddish female shook her head, glaring at his psywurm familiar that was standing between the skydancers and Samerium as though he could defend his master.

Samerium tried to move. He wanted to run, he wanted to flee back home to his mate and children. He didn't want to be here any longer, but it felt like his body was encased in metal. "Don't bother trying to move - not unless I want you to, anyway, Thing," stated the purple female, her shimmering iridescent wings glimmering despite the dim light of Plague territory. "My binding magic is impossible to break from the inside." She waved and, without his will, Samerium's wings opened of their own accord and he crouched in a battle stance. "I think It will like you very much. I think I'll give her your leash..."

The purple female led him back to the camp, the red female walking beside him. Neither appeared to be concerned that he would fight back, but with good reason. Samerium felt like his limbs were moving of their own accord and he couldn't muster the strength to break out of these confines. When they returned to this 'camp', a wildclaw approached him. Her scales were sheet white, and had she had runes and been an imperial she would've made a beautiful kitsune but...the amount of blood that covered her was quite unnerving. She had bandages that dripped with blood that didn't smell like hers, and her chest and claws and even face were stained with what looked like a fresh kill. A quick smell determined that the blood was definetly from a dragon.

"Meet your new toy," stated the puple female to this new wildclaw. The wildclaw turned her white eyes to him, looking him up and down as the skydancer continued. "I'll give you this," she said as she placed a darksteel necklace around the neck of the wildclaw, "and now he will obey your every thought. Try it out." The wildclaw looked at the necklace for a moment, then glanced around. Finally seeing something she liked, she looked back at Samerium.

"Kill him." She glanced down at the psywurm that stood loyally by his master's side, growling at the surrounding dragons. Samerium's eyes filled with dread. He couldn't, he wouldn't! The smaller creature had been with him through thick and thin, loyally defending him during hunting trips gone awry. Despite his internal screaming for the creature to run, his psywurm gazed up with concerned orange eyes as Samerium lifted his head and then, like a snake killing a rat, sank his teeth into his friend. Lifting the writhing creature into the air, he shook his friend until the psywurm went still, only dropping him when he was sure it was dead.

"Good, good," stated the wildclaw with a grin that screamed her lack of sanity, the dark circles beneath her eyes only accentuating the soullessness that enveloped her eyes. "I think I will like my new toy."

"His name is Thing," stated the purple female skydancer. "You two have fun together."

The amount of blood he shed was obscene. It wasn't long before his mind was long gone. Gradually he began to develop a numb acceptance of his fate... and then he began to like it. Tortured shrieks lulled him to sleep and the world constantly smelled of blood. In time, a permanent toothy grin was plastered on his face and instead of the force of his curse driving him to kill, it became an act of pleasure.
