Biography
“Why isn’t he growing!?" "I don't know, sweetie. It’s going to be ok. Harlequin, my love, Sorin will turn out just fine.”
Those were the last words I heard from my parents that night. I felt myself washing away from the cliffs of the Sunbeam Ruins, storms abound and washing waves throwing me far from home. I didn’t miss home, even though I was a baby. Well, I am still a baby now, but that’s beside the point. Nobody seemed to really care about me or who I was at home. All the other dragons would rave about is how Mom and Dad had a baby that would never grow, and all the other baby dragons, larger than I, made fun of me for it.
I can only remember tears shed as waves turned, my own eyesalts mixing with the tumbling ocean that was the Sea of a Thousand Currents. I knew when I awoke that I was far from “home”. Everything around me was so dark and gross. The porous ground made me sink even as my tiny Coatl claws walked through its surface. I needed to find a place to stay, but had no idea where I was, and didn’t want to go home. Then, I saw a clan! It subconsciously beckoned me to come to them.
Everyone here is so nice. They don’t seem to care that I’m permanently youthful and adore me for who I really am. In a sense, I couldn’t be happier. The past was traumatic, and I suppose because of that it could only make sense that I’d be happy in the world’s most scarred, infected region.
