N O T E S *Mate of Shaman *Dead Dragon that got resurrected *Body is held together by vines and flowers OLD BIO TO BE REWRITTEN: Lich's life was destined to be a short one from the very start. Born sickly and weak, she even struggled to keep food down most days and after being examined by healers, was given the life expectancy of a few moons at most. Her parents wept for her, as if already dead and plans were already set in motion what to do with her remains when the time would come. In the end, none of these plans came to be, because Lich was a guardian dragon to boot and The Search called to her soul, even though she knew she'd probably not even make it far enough to catch a glimpse of her charge. The possibility of surviving until she would find them was tiny, but her pride did not allow her to question herself. She'd either find her charge or die trying. Her search was long and hard, especially since her instincts led her into one direction, only to change to another. A moving target was most likely, but it made it even more difficult for the guardian to catch up with it. Lich started to push herself farther and farther, disregarding her already frail health for a chance to maybe find her charge. As a means of survival and to keep herself up on her feet, Lich learned about the herbs in her surroundings while traveling, figuring out which ones could boost her stamina, which could heal her aching bones and which she could use to poison wild animals to serve as a meager meal. Some small part of her also hoped she might find a cure to her ailment during her travels, but she usually made sure to quell that hope, instead concentrating on following the tracks of her charge. It was with one paw already in the grave that she so much as collapsed at her charges feet. A dragon named Shaman, the leader of a nomadic group of skydancers calling themselves 'Yubokumin', constantly wandering through Sornieth, was what she had been searching for. While distrustful by nature, Shaman realized Lich spoke true when she told him how she had found him, since the Yubokumin naturally tried to avoid other dragons, and only one who knew where to search for would have found them. He accepted Lich into the ranks of the Yubokumin and started to help her look for a way to prolong her life. But it became apparent that there was no salvation for Lich. The guardian would die, sooner or later and her long and stressful journey to find Shaman had only shortened her life. It was then that Shaman came to her with a proposal: Having his powers as a necromancer at his disposal, he suggested to bring back Lich from the dead as one of his ghouls, though in comparison to his other creations, he would allow her her free will, so she may protect and stay by his side for eternity. Lich had nothing more to lose and now that she had found her charge, she did no longer want to leave him. When it was time for her to depart from this world, she did it with a smile, knowing she would return, and stand by the side of her charge once more. Today, Lich's body is held together by thick vines of wisteria, her own bones and a few body parts Shaman managed to preserve. Although a scary sight, she has come to be a gentle and caring presence by Shaman's side, not only protecting him but officially also taking the title as his mate. | _________ |
