Biography
Marrentil
She's in secondary education with Fellstalk, learning history and sciences, as well as continued language tutoring. She also helps him with paperwork and chores related to his kindergarten class. She's not very good with children, but she is happy to do a lot of laundry all at once or to pick up after them. If given permission, she likes to bring a book back to her personal room and read it slowly to herself. She isn't a fast reader but she likes learning. She's very thankful that Fellstalk lets her work for him and study. She's not sure what she wants to do with her knowledge but she would like to visit the Arcane libraries some day.
She's found herself drawn to Aurax because Aurax also tends to navigate the outskirts of the lair's social interactions. Aurax has been many places and is often away, but Marrentil seeks her out when she returns. Marrentil's words are quiet and Aurax's responses are simple language written in frost, ice magic on stone. Aurax is distant but patient, willing to communicate if Marrentil asks the right questions.
Marrentil looks up to Springer a lot but finds it difficult to express her admiration. Cadantine's rapid speech and exuberance often make Marrentil anxious, but Cadantine realizes this and is trying to reach out to the young coatl.

| Marrentil thinks she probably would have stayed in her birth lair if she'd had the choice, but they were too large and so she was sponsored to leave and explore the world to find a new home. She's shy and a little skittish, not sure what she wants or who she is quite yet. She's also quiet and spends far more energy than she should trying to keep out from underfoot of other dragons. She is still struggling with the complexities of draconic speech, which feeds into her quietness and tendency to remove herself from situations where she doesn't feel she fully understands the social rules. Her accent is obvious and she sometimes stumbles over words. She would feel homesick if she'd spent much time in her birth lair, but she didn't. This lair feels as much like home as she knows, even if she's a little overwhelmed in the busier social places. |
