Biography
Greathill Sootstorm
Greathill Sootstorm is a renowned blacksmith, and the owner of Sootstorm Forge, a quaint forge-clan nestled under the Everfall Isle's volcano.
As a young mirror freshly starting a new life in the Emberglow Hearth, Greathill met his current wife Borealis, and together they founded a clan by the name of Lambda Forge. Tragically, the clan was infiltrated by two Plague dragons under the guise of a potential alliance; they brought a mind-twisting disease from their homeland, drawing the infected denizens of the clan toward the Wyrmwound. Greathill himself fell to the plague; the last thing he could remember was passing out from exhaustion in the scorching sands of the Abiding Boneyard.
He was found by Zaristrasza, a Light ambassador on her way to the Sunbeam Ruins. She healed his wounds and brought him along on her journey, but a storm knocked them off course, and they ended up on the shores of the unmapped Everfall Isle, the domain of Adaenur the Harvestwatcher, where they chose to stay.
While life under the Harvestwatcher's wing was comfortable, a bounty of feasts and wine and general merriment, Greathill felt nothing but emptiness from the loss of his beloved wife. In an attempt to forget, he procured an arcane scroll and transformed himself into a tundra, yet the memories remained. So, one night, he went into the Orchard of Lamentations, and he wailed and howled in his sorrow; Adaenur heard his call, descending from the volcano peak, and Greathill begged her to bring Borealis back, no matter what it takes. The deity promised to reunite them, but warned Greathill that she might not be the same.
Adaenur flew to the Abiding Boneyard and brought Borealis' remains to the Everfall Isle, weaving them into a wooden vessel, bringing her back to life. With her back by his side, Greathill felt alive again, his inner elemental fire burning brighter than ever. He and Borealis decided to form a new forge-clan much like their first one, and the Sootstorm Forge was born, nestled under the isle's volcano.
