Abyss is a conscientious dragon who is often burdened by all the wrong-doing around her. She is deeply unsettled by the effects dragonkind has on the environment and does everything in her power to keep these dark waters clean from whatever harm may shower from above the trenches.

Furthermore, she is overly kind, and will always do her best to help her clanmates, no matter how small the issue. Mostly, the younger dragons just like to ask her for advice, finding wisdom in her experiences through her many years of living in the Thousand Current Sea. Abyss can see the bigger picture easier than most, so she's great at relieving their stress or lifting the burden off of their shoulders.

When Abyss isn't patrolling, she'll help with the clan's day to day activities. After all, nobody knows how to thrive in these depths better than Abyss does, and she knows how important even the simplest of tasks can be to the survival of the clan.

Abyss is one of very few dragons which have gained the respect of the Maren Beastclan. She acknowledges the maren as the first settlers of the sea and has done what she can to protect the aquatic cities of those who remain in the Thousand Current Sea. The maren honor her as the guardian of the deep that she is, and Rufus himself is her devout follower.

Nobody knows the seafloor better than Abyss, who has traversed the bottom of the Thousand Currents so many times that she can map out the entire deepsea by memory. Furthermore, this Imperial is completely blind. She was born to these dark depths, thousands of miles away from land and sun, and as such has learned to adapt to the environment without the need for eyesight.

Abyss first met the Founders before a clan had even formed; they were just two young dragons desperate to make a home for themselves, making the best out of a bad situation. Not in her nature to turn a blind eye to someone in need, Abyss did what she could to help them, not only to survive, but to thrive in the Tidelord's dark depths. This is how she became the first denizen.

The Founders decidedly named the clan after Abyss. Knowing they wouldn't have made it very far without her, she represented everything that they had come to know, and as the clan grew in numbers, Abyss subsequently became a mascot of sorts. Nowadays, she's honored by the denizens as a dragon of yore- one of the ancient leviathans of the deep. No one even knows how old she actually is because her age is a mystery to even herself.

Abyss spends much of her time patrolling the deepsea floor like a gigantic, prehistoric shark, guiding those who have lost their way in the Tidelord's abyssal frontier.
