And there's nothing you can do when water ruins the maps we drew.

Pontos The Navigator

The generation of water dragons following the Bounty of the Elements are unlike those that have come before them, particularly with those that practice water magic. Since the disappearance of the Tidelord, many water dragons have been struggling without their spiritual connection. As far as Pontos is concerned, you can't mourn something that you've never had in the first place.

There is an increase in strife among the Deepsea Oracles, particularly with the age of the dragon. The sect has been split between dragons who were born before the Bounty of the Elements and dragons who were born after it. Pontos himself is part of the latter, but he has mastered alternative forms of water magic seemingly much easier than any other Deepsea Oracle from his generation.

Because of this, he's begrudgingly climbed the ranks among the oracles and has been tasked with teaching young dragons similar forms of water magic, particularly those who suffer finding a connection to the Thousand Current Sea due to their missing deity. Giving Pontos this position has somewhat helped bridge the gap between the generations.

As much as he wonders what it was like before the Bounty of the Elements, Pontos finds it hard to believe in a god that would abandon His flight. However, he is one of many dragons out there searching for their missing deity, desperate to restore power and glory to the Water flight. His quest has lead him to join ranks among the Seacoast.

An excellent artist, now put to use making charts and various maps, Pontos became something of a navigator for Riptide and his crew. He seems to always inherently know which way they're going.

-does not follow directions
- won't take no for an answer
-he is young and the clan thinks he is foolish because of it

He punctured holes in the floorboards
to flood the bow just in time to bow out.
Abandon ship! Swim toward shore!
He's over bored and overboard!
