Tourmaline is a shy and quiet snapper. She keeps herself to herself and doesn't like to bother others. She opens up more with dragons who she considers friends and they all see the silly side of her. Tourmaline's job within the clan is spellcaster. If you need a spell to cause earthquakes and crack the earth, Tourmaline will know it. However, she prefers to use her spells to heal wounds, grow flowers and keep the little ones entertained. She is very close to her sisters Isis and Wisp and her nephew Silk. Torumaline's favourite pastimes are smelling flowers and reading up on Arcane spells.
Tourmaline was born into an Arcane clan, in which her sister Wisp and nephew Silk still reside. As the elder siblings to their sister Isis, Tourmaline and Wisp have always done anything that they can to keep Isis safe and out of trouble. They lost their parents when they were quite young, so Tourmaline had to grow up fast and act as both mother and father to her little sister. Tourmaline was overjoyed when her nephew Silk was born and also felt a strong maternal instinct to protect him. It was with a heavy heart that Tourmaline and Isis left their arcane home, but they were safe in the knowledge that Silk would be well looked after by Wisp as Wisp found love and made a family of her own and decided to stay behind. Tourmaline and Isis travelled a long time to find somewhere where they truly belonged, somewhere that wasn't a constant reminder of their parent's death. However, after a long search, Tourmaline and Isis settled down in an ice clan where they still reside. Tourmaline still sends letters to her nephew and hopes to visit her old home sometime soon.
