Cato

Cato is a clan guardsman that specializes in battle magic. Cato is, however, rather unstable at times due to his Dissociative Identity Disorder. His personality may change at times. His DID is partially due to the mask he wears which nullifies his telepathy that he was cursed with as a child. The sudden loss of input along with the trauma during his youth resulted in his several personalities. The Personalities are Cato, Cairo, Khan, Catarina, and Qa. Cato is the most common and has been in the light for years and is courageous and brave along with being considered Righteous; Cairo is shy and easily scared; Khan is forthright and is sometimes obsessively compulsive but also sometimes aggressive; Catarina is easily manipulated and lacks constitution and is self-conscious; Qa is tranquil to the point of being slothful and is usually quite lazy, apathetic, and difficult to elicit reactions from.

Cato's telepathy is very powerful, and this ability is strong enough to physically injure those within Cato's proximity. This is not even mentioning the mental trauma it could cause unchecked. Cato, however, typically wears his mask, which was made by Hazel, now, and this blocks all of his telepathy from reaching others. When Cato was younger, and his DID had not yet manifested, his telepathy was often used in magical duels, making no technique or attack any use against him. Cato was able to counter or imitate just about any spell thrown at him because of his abilities.

After Cato lost his memory, after his coven had fallen and he had killed the dragon that had cursed him, the Quarry had a trial for Cato. Cato was found unfit to stand trial due to what amounted to coercion on his coven's part, as well as the fact that he could not remember what he had done. Cato was instead paroled. Now, Cato works to benefit the clan as much as he can, to repay the debt he owes them for giving him a chance to prove himself.

Cato found himself Trinity as a mate during courtship many years ago. The two Fae had themselves many children, and two of them, Soteris and Achaius, remain in the Quarry. Trinity was uncomfortable with Cato contacting Hazel at first. Hazel is known as the Witch of the Woods, and few earn a moniker like that without a reason. When Hazel gave Cato his mask, though, Trinity warmed up to the idea of their interaction a bit more.

Cato is a fellow guardsman alongside Nyura, Weir, and Tsun as well. The other guards were initially very wary of Cato due to his mental instability and past actions, but he has proven himself to be an effective guard that desires reform and to help the clan.
