Ituraxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Former leader
"This mess that you made, its a six-foot grave, it's a home for your lonesome bones that remain." BIO Itura, daughter of the former leader Imeria, was once the uncontested leader of the Gilded Shadows Clan. She was strong, fast, and powerful. She's smart and kept a close eye on dragons that might oppose her, but she was eventually overcome by her own daughter. Unusual for a shadow dragon, she dresses herself in lightning apparel. The flickering, jagged emblem and sparking cloths may make some dragons question her elemental allegiance, but if you anger her, her true shadow elements will shine through. Unlike her mother, whose magic manifests through a dark mist, when angered, the shadows of a room darken around Itura, lengthening and deepening until the room itself seems to dim. Even under the cyan and copper of her attire, there is no questioning that Itura is a shadow dragon at heart. Itura is a bitter, jealous dragon. Even as a hatchling this shone through, conniving and power-hungry. The eldest and strongest of Imeria's first brood, Itura was cruel to her siblings, only having a change of heart when Fell injured herself trying to run away from the clan before she was grown enough to fly. That incident was enough to make Imeria decide against naming Itura as her heir. It was a decision beneficial for her clan, but Itura took this as a betrayal. After the trauma of a horrific deathtrap of a circus Itura had gone to visit, she began planning a revolt with Fell. Though she was hesitant at first to ally with the dragon who had tormented her so as a hatchling, she at the time also agreed with Itura's idea that leadership in the clan should pass from mother to daughter. She was strong, and though Fell was not a particularly powerful dragon, the two were a good team, especially once they managed to sway Glacura, the clan's advisor, to their cause. An outsider who hadn't grown up with the clan shouldn't be the one to lead it. A famine and the clan's journey to the Ashfall Waste weakened Imeria significantly, giving Itura the perfect window to take control of the clan. She slew the dragon Imeria had named to be the successor, and claimed leadership for herself. The cycles that Itura lead the clan were dark ones. Itura let the power of her leadership get to her head. Dragons who disagreed with her or dared to stand up to her cruelty were punished. She was convinced that her mate Sculptor would leave her for another dragon, and forbid him from even having friendships with others. Many dragons were scarred or lost their lives under her rule, changing a once prosperous clan into a scared, cornered one, lashing out with violence at anything that so much as gave a hint to threatening them. Itura didn't see what she was doing to her clan for what it truly was, thinking that she was making them stronger. She impressed her violent ideals onto her own hatchlings, hoping that whoever eventually succeeded her would be even stronger. Incindia was not the dragon that Itura wanted to lead, but Incindia was the dragon who finally put a stop to her mothers' cruel reign. Killing her sister and throwing her mother from her high perch, Incindia had the support of her clanmates, tired of being scared of their tyrannical leader. Now, Itura is imprisoned deep in the heart of the clan, guarded at all hours, seething that her weakest daughter was the one who managed to succeed her.

Darling, I realize that not all of us are blessed with the Arcanist's own grace in the form of divinely perfect colors, but I do wonder if you're even trying. A little, or perhaps a lot, more apparel and you could cover up that gods-forsaken swamp entirely. How about some nice wraps, or maybe a very large burlap cloak to hide your shame?
