Born in Clan Diamond Dust under the solar eclipse 8/21/17


Eclipse was born under what could be considered an auspicious or ominous day, depending on a clan's beliefs. A total solar eclipse darkened the sky just before his hatching, and he was born while twilight still lingered on his part of the world.

The leaders of Clan Diamond Dust were intensely practical as they lived in the harsh landscape of the Southern Icefields with no time for what they considered frivolous beliefs. For his birth clan, the day was considered notable but not particularly portentous, although individual dragons certainly had their own feelings about it.

Eclipse's parents had joined the clan in advance of the 2016 Crystalline Gala and were finally no longer considered newer residents. Although for a long time, the clan had primarily supported themselves through a training program for dragons, the Winter Sornieth games had also opened up a brisk tourism business. To serve those guests and neighboring clans, Warrior and Frostbite opened a winter sports store and spent their time stocking and running the shop.

His siblings often went on to serve the Icewarden, although they also ranged far and wide around the world. Eclipse was about to join their ranks, as arrangements had been made for him to join a Fire Clan. Although the landscape would be an extreme opposite of his early days, Eclipse was still excited to meet his clanmates and discover more about his new home.
