Kottara is very loyal to his one and only true deity, the Shadowbinder. Easy way to get on his good side? Flatter both himself and Shadowbinder, as if the compliments given to her would personally affect himself as well. Shortly put it he is very Shadow enthusiastic, and in very close term with the clan's own Shadow rep. Alongside Trickmurk he always plans out the events for the Trickmurk Circus, easily his ultimate favorite festival of the year.
Other than that, Kottara is quite an annoying personality. He comes off as self-centered smartass who lives to annoy others, and that is pretty much the truth. Whatever is going on with the clan, he will know and whatever rumor he hears, he will also share. He's clever, so it's not easy to win against him in almost anything. Verbal fight? He has the sharpest tongue and fastest thoughts around. Physical fight? He's gone in a blink of an eye, and will laugh at you from the shadows. Whatever insults or remarks others might have for him never seem to do much anything, he'll just grin or laugh them off, asking is that the best you can do.

In overall he is quite social and, well, not exactly friendly but he's not the one to actually start a fight. Certainly he will feed the fire if one is about to began, or something like that, but Kottara makes sure no-one will be able to just point at him and say it was his fault. He plays his cards well, and always has a backup plan for his plan B's backup plan. He's always eager to learn about others, and if they're not willing to share he will find some other way to sniff around and dig out their darkest and deepest of secrets. Kottara gets around the clan fairly well, though some others have gotten so fed up with him that they just wont tolerate him. But in overall? He has more friends than enemies. He seeks out the company of dragons similar to him, and some might even find his twisted humor and clever thoughts interesting and intriguing.

• Hale - love/hate relationship

Who knows what sort of a sick joke brought these two together? As much as they seem to despise and loathe each other, there are times when they actually seem to be okay with each other's company. Kottara especially enjoys bothering and annoying Hale, to which he responds aggressively and violently most of the time.

• Trickmurk - best friends

Both Trickmurk and Kottara share a passion toward Shadow flight and its festival. Within these years they've known each other, Trickmurk has developed certain feelings towards the spiral. However Kottara does not seem interested, as his attention is on Hale, which annoys Trickmurk greatly.

• Wendigo - good friend

Perhaps it is because they both are spirals, but they seem to get along rather well. Few have seen them talking together, but for some reason they are found in each other's company more than often.

• Raja - friend

When Raja joined the clan Kottara was quick to find out the other's skills in potion making. Now they share their knowledge and often brew potions together.

• Zahir - friend

The Arcane flight is interesting, to say in the least. When Zahir arrived, Kottara made it his goal to get under his skin and learn more about the flight that has such an reputation in the world. In the process they became friends. Who would've thought?
