Trick-or-Treat!
Early one evening you notice a quiet murmuring about the lair, almost like a voice. It continues for some time and you decide to investigate. It seems to be coming from somewhere beyond the entrance. A vague smell of freshly overturned earth and rotting leaves wafts inside as you open the door. You wrinkle your snout.

An elderly pearlcatcher dressed as a zombie mutters to herself as you are momentarily forgotten. "Not like in my day, we'd have a proper fairy ring by now, not this here-and-there nonsense."
.....Looking up at you with rheumy eyes she seems to remember her purpose, "Begging your pardon, of course. A blessing on your lair and clan. May you have healthy hatchlings and many fine seasons ahead! I've dug myself up again this year for the annual go-about. I'd never miss that. Would you have anything to spare for an old dragon in this season?" She grins, showing a display of yellowed and missing teeth. Bits of grime crumble softly from a wing as she stares through you, lost again in her own thoughts, "My grandchildren had me buried good and deep last year. I did appreciate that, not good to get too much rain. And I had irises nearly the whole Summer!"
.....As she chatters on to herself, a shadow sprite waves at you from beside your visitor's foot claws. It's good to know she's not out alone tonight. She seems to have traveled farther than most. Barely intelligible through her mumbling you hear, "And do you know what else we don't get now, like in the old days? Brains. And another thing ..."
