Gaia had been reared by two loving parents in the land of the Gladekeeper. She had grown with an affinity for the lands, her parents often finding her buried in the lucious flowers that filled the lands. The skydancer had been fascinated with what plants can do from a young age, and as she grew she devoted her time to learning about different properties of plants, may they be harmful or beneficial.

Her parents eventually went on their own exaltation to serve the Gladekeeper, and at that age she was a grown dragon, and wanted to explore the world. She desired to spread the power of healing beyond her own lands, where other dragons did not have the means to heal wounds as readily as they did in the Viridian Labyrinth. Rivalry made her weary to thread into the lands of Plaguebringer, but with time Gaia had overcome her fear.

Could the two lands not get along?

Did all dragons welcome bubbling decay so easily and allow themselves to become one with the land instead of trying for a longer life? Packing herself up, she made her way into the lands, met with some hostility, but with curiosity and open arms as well. Clans and caves there were made of many elements as well, and they knew what it was like to have so many at once place.

Her herbal skills developed there, using the natural flora of the land that she could find -- and learning to make not only medicine, but poisons and toxins. In case they would be needed some day. The plagued lands were interesting to study, and she marveled in how different they were.

Gaia's healing skills came in play when she found a wounded Ridgeback, hissing and molting -- and she pushed past the aggressive exterior to help the Light dragon, despite his groans and unrelenting moans to leave him alone. Eventually he gave in, and they began to talk.

The two became travelling companions, Lon'qu keeping threats at bay and Gaia healing him when he gets too reckless. They chatter about their different lives and past and families, and eventually they settle on the idea that as much as wandering is nice, it might be nice to find a clan.

So they eventually came to Refugiu and the elder Guardian and white Imperial gladly took them in, adding diversity to their growing clan. Gaia and Lon'qu developed feelings for each other, but due to their size and difference in species, they kept it a chaste and supportive relationship where they remained foils to each other.

Gaia often likes to decorate the cave and bring some colour to it, often in the form of plants she tenderly cares for. For the larger plants she can't get herself, she often asks for her mate's assistance if he isn't busy; at the beginning she was worried he'd destroy the plants just due to his sheer size and the horn of his snout, but he's surprisingly gentle with them. Often she can be found studying and experimenting with different herbs, both native and foreign to the lands.
