Pix

Pix is a Mirror with an extraordinary fondness for crystals and he will hoard and even pinch them from other dragons. This habit, along with his general selfishness and tendency to suddenly push dragons over for laughs, has earned him more than a few sharp claws across the face. He doesn't take it personally. His thuggish build, strong ego, and generally unshakable personality discourage retaliation, and he is well-known for bullying other dragons if he can get away with it.

Pix's favourite thing to do with crystals and rocks is to chew them. This works surprisingly well, all things considered, though it's unclear if he's actually eating the rocks or just gnawing them to bits. Pix's burrow is full of rocks he took a shine to- often ones that used to have previous owners- and he sleeps sprawled among them. Pix is so generally unpleasant to his clanmates that he would likely be thrown out of the clan, were it not for the fact that he is actually a dedicated and effective digger, hunter, and scavenger, and his fighting ability as a soldier is respectable.

History: Pix's first clan fell victim to discord and apathy, and disbanded itself. Wandering from place to place, Pix settled at Driftwood Shore for no particular reason and has been there ever since. He fought well in the War, and his strength was a valuable asset.

Physical: Pix is an average-sized, muscular Mirror with stocky features and blunt, broad claws and teeth. His wings are short and serve mostly to help him climb and jump, and he can barely fly in any real sense of the word. He has several chipped teeth, a result of his rock-chewing habit. Despite his element and his general incompetence in the water, Pix very much enjoys splashing around in the Sea, and will do so several times a day to play tag or chase gobies in the shallows. The open Sea is dangerous to Pix, as he can just about manage an awkward dog paddle and finds the effort draining.

Pix is otherwise a very strong dragon, with an enduring stability to his limbs and a powerful bite. He fights physically, brawling with his blunt claws and strong teeth, infusing both with his stony element easily. His parallel scars are from the antlers of a Bonepriest, taken early in his skirmish training with Lizan and the silent Pin.

Familiar:
Pix saw this furless, weird-looking feline in the market and immediately insisted on buying it. Despite appearing spooky and mystical the nekomata is simply an affectionate and rather flatulent normal cat, which spends most of its time lazing about in Pix's rock-lined burrow. Most of the clan finds it ugly and unappealing but Pix loves it dearly, perhaps because of this.

Kin & Others

Lizan:

Pix was the white Ridgeback Lizan's 'on-the-side' mate, but to Pix their relationship represented the closest he has ever come to having a best friend. Lizan was the dragon who tolerated him more than anyone else, who laughed at his oafish jokes and remained vibrantly unfazed by any of his bullying nonsense. With her injury during the War and subsequent departure to exaltation, Pix is now alone in a clan of dragons who don't particularly like him, and is coming to the realisation that this is a feeling he doesn't like very much. Lizan's mate Zukyem, while she treats him with a respectful politeness, was never really a friend to him and is no source of comfort now either.

Teevin:

The closest thing Pix has to a friend at this point is the fiery Wildclaw Teevin. The Shore's renowned troublemaker occasionally gathers him up on the way to her newest exploits. Pix eagerly participates in this, as Teevin comes up with clever and hilarious things to do which he would never think of by himself, but tends to get a little carried away. The combination of Pix, Teevin, and Teevin's mate Vivi are the closest thing the Shore has to a 'bad crowd', and have a vaguely gang-like air that causes many dragons to hurriedly get out of the way of whatever they're doing.

Offspring:

Pix has left a multitude of descendants scattered all throughout Sornieth, mostly Mirrors. He is a promiscuous dragon, enjoying the company of females and the satisfaction of hatching new mini Pix-es. The only one of his children he has seen since their hatchling days is the exalted daughter of himself and Lizan, known only as Smiley. She very occasionally appears to him in dreams, saying things he either can't remember or doesn't understand and grinning all the while. He has never spoken to anyone of these encounters and isn't sure if they are just dream nonsense.
