Biography

.:THEO:.
~The King of the Island~

One of Theo's earliest memories is of chaos.

He was a very young dragon then, not more than a hatchling, and all around him was fire and the smell of blood. Smoke filled the sky, blocking off the stars in the night, and burning foliage crackled around him.

His clanmates were in a panic, trying to retrieve whatever they could from their homes before the flames consumed everything. All the while, unearthly screeches pierced the air, coming from the maws of Shade-infected beasts. Theo doesn't remember much beyond that, but he does know one thing -- his parents, the clan's previous king and queen, had died that night while trying to fight off the Shade and flames. The loss would haunt him for years to come.

Eventually, the clan recovered from the deadly attack, but they still lacked one thing...a leader. As the son of the departed royalty, it fell on Theo's shoulders to become the next ruler of Sojourn Island. At the time of his coronation, he was only a teenager, still learning the ways of the world. He accepted his duty, but without much experience, he tends to be quite nervous about his position and always asks for others' opinions, to the annoyance of certain others in the clan who want someone more mature to lead. Theo also dislikes introducing himself as a king, preferring to keep his relations with others relatively casual and normal. Still, he tries his best, and he makes an effort to be kind and fair to all.

One of his most significant acts as king was the passing of the Open Winds Act. This reduced some of the inequality between the nobility and commoners, and also made it easier for dragons to immigrate to the clan, leading to a new era of increased diversity and shared knowledge. While many dragons appreciated the Act, a few among the nobility dislike it for what it did to their status.
