Nowi belongs to a race of dragons known as Manaketes, who have incredible longevity and can take on human form. Though she is about 1000 years old, she has an incredibly cheerful and childish personality and is constantly asking others to play with her. It turns out that her childishness is in part a deliberate act in order to cheer others up, and in part a result of the slowed maturation rate of Manaketes. However, her many years of life experience does allow her to show some surprising maturity at times.
