The shorthand form of his name: 'Bass', is pronounced like the fish, rather than the term used in music.

As the clan grew, so too did the number of gathered creatures with the potential to be familiars. However, due to the collecting habits of a certain Ice dragon, the latter swiftly overtook the former. Sirussi's intent to preserve and study the beasts clashed somewhat with Isthen's natural preference to nurture and allow nature, in the form of fauna, to thrive.

It was Basri who stepped in and mediated the situation. Most dragons tended to settle upon a single familiar as a companion, but this Wind dragon held no preference.
He set it down that the creatures would be cared for and kept in optimal condition, and would be permissible to study in a more free-ranging environment. Basri himself volunteered to care for the many familiars who were companion to no particular individual.

The Mirror is willing to use both gentle nudge, and bark to ensure good behaviour within the clan-lair. This applies both to the creatures in his care, and any dragon who'd interfere.

Basri was reluctant to consider the proposition, but managed to be persuaded into attempting a humane and unstressful (for the companion-creature) method of obtaining ink from the coleoidean familiars.

OOC: It's true. Pretty much everyone else keeps the familiars they have, but this guy cares for all the rest...Well, until the hibden move on 17/1/2023 anyhow. ^^;
