ooooHailing from a prestigious family of Lightweaver-devoted dragons, Antui was once on her way to becoming the next High Priestess of their extremely secluded sect. Driven by the constant urging of her parents, and nearly brainwashed into a monotonous existence of worship, she caught herself staring into nothing one day and realized that her future was bleak. She snuck out of their temple, deep within the darkness of the Hewn City, and ran as far as her legs would take her before she collapsed. She was not allowed to fly in the temple, and her wings were too weak and inexperienced to carry her. Antui continued on, until a group of traveling merchants found her. She learned the basics from the kind group, and gratefully left them as her confidence and curiosity grew. ____Antui traveled across Sornieth for a long time, her mental health and physical strength slowly building up. One day, she was finally able to fly with the help of strong air currents in the Reedcleft Ascent. It changed her life when she realized how traumatized she had been from the sect, and how much had been selfishly hidden from her. She flew back to the Sunbeam Ruins, intent on returning to the temple and showing everyone what beauty and wonder they had been missing out on. ____But the decrepit temple was mysteriously abandoned, all of the dragons gone from the premises. Antui wondered what had happened, and even to this day it remains a mystery. Leaving the darkness of the Hewn City behind forever, she flew until she could no longer flap her wings, angered and confused by the disappearances. She wanted to see the very opposite of the darkness she had grown up in, and longed to witness the millions upon billions of stars twinkling in the sky from the fabled telescopes of The Observatory. The pulsing magic of the Starfall Isles vibrated within her bones when she arrived, and when she felt the energy reinvigorating her body, Antui knew she could never bring herself to leave. ____She now works in Syncraci as the only priestess (so of course she is allowed to "promote" herself!), mainly assisting with the transferring of passerby dragons wishing to be trained for exaltation. Much of her time is spent socializing, a pastime she adores. She is very friendly, but at times can be paranoid, an understandable result of her past. Antui despises trickery and does not like being toyed with. ____Antui has a great connection with Safielle, another dragon who would much rather get straight to the point and not beat around the bush. Although Kestalm is a bit too "spooky" for her tastes, the two have become good friends. ____She loves to hoard soft paper lanterns. The way they softly glow reminds her of the brighter parts of her heritage. |
