Biography

Tales tell of a dragon so mighty and powerful that no one could oppose him. He would use the sheer power of the sun itself and throw life into even a cold stone statue. Some say he was a miracle worker, a god, but he himself claimed to be but a simple dragon.
His story began where all tales do, though not as mighty as you’d expect. He was not born wealthy, and he did not grow up surrounded by servants. He was but a newborn, fresh from the warm comfort of the egg, and thrown into the cold and harsh river. Thrashes and cries would not help him stay afloat, nor was the river gentle to his weak muscles. Nearing defeat he let out a final breath as he felt Anubis tugging down on his soul towards the Duat. Before he could fully join the afterlife a gorgeous fish came to his aid and protected him from the jackal’s cold embrace. Hatmehit filled his lungs with air and gave life back to the dying hatchling. She told him to never give up as dying comes easy, but living is a chance you’ll only get once and his start in life was not fair. He was given a pearl basked in sunlight, an offering to aid him in his new life. The orb radiated with blinding light similar in power to the right eye of Horus. 20815.png
Holding such power in one’s hands and learning to control it was no easy task, but he took Hatemhit’s words to heart and never gave up. But with great power comes an even greater curiosity. He couldn’t help but try pushing the limits of the orb and find out what it was really capable of. He soon found out the orb truly held the sheer power of the sun as it could, just like the sun itself, give life. He started small, reviving the just fallen, and moved on to eventually animating the earth. His years of practicing did not go unnoticed however and rumors began to spread about a young dragon capable of performing the unpossible. As rumors became facts the dragons of the land gave the young wanderer a name befitting his actions; Deus, his miracles were nothing but the work of a real god.

Deus became the youngest pharaoh in history, and also the last. He was given treasures in many forms of gratitude from the dragons of his new nation and in return he gave them fields always kissed by sunlight, life where it was unjustly taken, and most important of all; protection. Other nations grew jealous of their success in life and launched many attacks upon their land to get hold of the pearl of light. But each of them ended in retreat, one can not fight something that can not be killed. Giant statues were made in the image of their sun god to guard over their land, and with each assault Deus would reanimate them to drive the enemy forces running back with tails between legs. With no one able to break through to the city, the attacks stopped coming and they lived in peace for many centuries. But even the mightiest of empires eventually fall.

The moment word of Deus' crossing to the Duat reached their enemies, the once beautiful land was no more. Deus' entire nation where wiped out as no one was spared in their search of the sunlit orb. History faded into legend, and it was soon forgotten altogether. The only remains is a ghost town with empty buildings, crumbling statues of long forgotten gods, and an orb locked in stone, untouchable by any who is unworthy.
