Linhardt may seem apathetic to most, not worthy of belonging to a plague clan. He values his freedom much more than anyone thinking of him as useful. He enjoys fishing in his free time, but he doesn't eat the fish, preferring to snack on sweets and pastries. Linhardt's den is filled with rows upon rows of bookshelves, barely poking over the piles of blankets, pillows, and plushies.

While he is usually sleepy and uninterested in events outside of his immediate surroundings, he is prone to bursts of inspiration. When inspired he can go for days or even a full week without eating or sleeping, so immersed in his studies. He is fascinated in differences in how a dragons' element changes them. Their personalities, magical abilities, physical traits. How dragons hatched on elemental borders present their elements, elemental traits that are inherited regardless of the subjects own element, all the little intricacies that perhaps the gods don't even know.

Linhardt is not a social person in the traditional sense of the word. He has a hard time forming bonds with others, and often only sees other people as sources of information. Once he learns everything he cares about from a person, he loses interest, moving on to others. He doesn't mean to hurt people with his actions, and very much enjoys being around those he can learn from. He enjoys praise immensely, and prefers to focus is attention on those who are passionate in their own interests, or have secrets he wishes to learn and maybe even help with.
