Sithis
The Dread Lord
There are dragons more handsome, larger or more ferocious than Sithis; there are dragons smarter with coin and dragons quicker on the wing; there are philosophers and heroes and artisans. But Sithis is none of these. Nor is any other dragon quite like Sithis. He is built on a large and sturdy frame, with skin the pattern of the moon reflected and sliced and chopped on the surface of a unsteady sea. Though he is often quiet, when he speaks, his voice itself is a deep, dangerous rumble, and all listen. Even his eyes are dark umbral gems, cold as shadow.
Often misunderstood as preoccupied with the darker parts of life, or suffering from some fundamental darkness, Sithis is more aptly described as simply "intense" by those few who come to know him. It is not particularly that he is enraptured by the pain or suffering in the world, but rather by its fundamental chaos. Life is itself madness given form, an inevitable tumbling of beginnings and endings. It is the madness from which all things have been made and to it again they will return.
It is his only deity - one he shares with his clan.

Sithis is I think very subtly well dressed and the red rose flower fall is a wonderful touch. Normally speckle/freckle combinations put me off but this works surprisingly well.
