Biography
Normally, if you've inherited a curse-like problem that makes you extremely vulnerable to attack and even possession by spirits, you would want to avoid living in a place that's next door to a hotbed of curse and spirit activity. So what is Adena, who inherited her mother's vulnerabilities but none of her defenses, doing here in the Wild Orchard?
Well, here's the thing. Ghosts and spirits and madness-infected things are already throwing themselves against the borders of the clan's territory on a regular basis- and the clan has been able to fend them off successfully, again and again. What place could possibly be safer than one that's already set up to defend against constant attack?
Adena now lives in the Orchard proper, the thriving and unpredictable garden in the heart of the clan's territory. The defensive runeworker, Vellum, visits her every few days to reapply new magic protections to help keep her safe. Her relationship with the clan's Fire enchanter, a Spiral named Zanri, quickly shifted from business to friendship to love. His light hearted nature and gentle sense of patience was just what Adena's nervous heart needed, downgrading her general attitude from 'timid and depressed' to 'nervous but not jumping at every snapped twig any more thank goodness.'
She's quickly becoming one of the clan's best experts in what grows in the Orchard and how the mysterious plants there might be useful, not because she has any particular gift for gardening but because she couldn't stand how useless she felt just hanging around hiding in the trees day after day after day.

Quote:
Microlore by ixris / 26035: This dragon is cursed with the spirits that plagued her mother but only minimal seals to protect her body from possession. She has managed to avoid possession so far by employing the same silver tongue honed by her father and her older brother, Sift. She longs for a life where she does not need to live on-edge, and where she can safely relax around her clanmates. Whether that means living in a spiritual void or a clan well defended against such an assault, she doesn't know, but she is keeping her ears pricked for word of such a place where she can grow safely. She has lived so much of her life in fear, much like her mother, that she has been unable to guess where she may take her life in the future.
