Let's not mince words- Nephrite would rather not live over here in Nature's lands. The trees are all too close together for an Imperial to navigate comfortably in the interior, and there are too many little... things living here. Between big bugs, small bugs, birds, and the occasional Plague incursion, he would much rather go home to the more open, more sedate lands of Dragonhome where he was born. He would much rather be neighbors to the slow, quiet, thoughtful Snappers than the fast and vicious Wildclaws, thank you very much.

Then why is he here? Simple- he's hopelessly fallen for Lagoon, a somewhat absent minded Pearlcatcher lady, and she refuses to go back to where they came from.

He returns home often, sometimes staying away for days at a time, but he always comes back for his mate. Usually he brings shipments of raw stone with him to work on, sitting and crafting the chunks into beautiful or useful trinkets with his claws and his magic. When the material runs out he knows it's time for another supply run back to Dragonhome.
