ABOUT.
Of the many dragons working with the Marrow Massacre, Aurum is one of its more surprising allies. After all, what business would an owner of a brothel have with a vicious leader of a raiding party?

The answer is a secret only Aurum and Nalkh are privy to. Their relationship is a brittle one, even if their conversations are heavily laced with pleasantries like a sweet, poisoned wine. What or who changes hands beneath the table is anyone's guess-- both parties are tight-lipped, and asking could very well be grounds for death.

The facts, however, are thus: the Crown Establishment is a renown and respected business whose customers include royalty and various noble-born dragons. Their escorts are beautiful in every sense of the word, trained individually by Aurum himself, or, when he is unavailable, the most experienced of the lot . The services they offer are hush-hush, and although many can guess what they are, that is only a brief sampling of the range available.

Secrets are the currency of the game here, and the Crown Establishment overflows with it.

IMPRESSIONS.

PAST.
Not much is known about Aurum's past. He changes faces, lies and stories as easily as he does clothes, though rumour has it that he used to work as an assassin for a very powerful guild that now lies forgotten in dusty manuscripts and dark corners of Sorineth. There is no mistaking the strength that those graceful limbs possess-- a few claim to have witnessed him snap a dragon's neck without blinking-- nor the coldness that lies in his eyes. He is kind and matronly to those who obey his orders (in most circles, he is a merciful and generous employer), and is significantly less so to the runaways and those who summon the courage to even dare to fight back.

Many have described him as a silk-sheathed dagger. He is indeed quite elegant and very deadly, but the resemblance goes far deeper than one might think. Forged in fire and cold as the steel of the blade, as his half-demon lover, Iota, would say, Aurum is unreadable and damn-near emotionless, even to his closest allies and friends.

Those who claim to understand him will never truly know him. Aurum's heart burned away long ago, and he no longer feels that pain.
