There is no running from a fate like this; not when he broke a sworn oath and pledged a blood one years later.

So here is the problem: How is one to deal with a past that refuses to be forgotten? He tries; oh, does he try. Drinking has never quite helped him to forget; it does not help that it doomed him to years of slavery, bound to an enchantress who had no qualms in binding him to her will. A blood oath, bound with Light magic.

Unbreakable.

Years later, when he managed to slip free from her clutches, he found a clan willing to take him in, to show him kindness and compassion. Now, he guards their gates from threats both mystical and physical.

He found something companions in Citadel and Ternio. Yes, Ternio. And then, when an incident (old stories, warm cider, two pearls and a clever riddle) occurred that brought them closer together, brothers-in-arms.

He is happy for now, at least.
