ABOUT. Simply put, Novus is the most powerful dragon in the clan. They are stronger than the clan's most brutal warriors, more adept at magic than any of the mages-- even Decus, whose potential has yet to be recognised-- and far, far more dangerous than the whole clan put together. The secret behind this lies in their nature: they are a reality-warper, able to weave the strings of fate, fortune and existence as they so wish. Novus is able to wipe a dragon clean off the surface of Sorineth, extinguish memories of them, make it such that they were never even born. It's a terrifying power, one that demands great responsibility. It is therefore no surprise that Novus is being hunted by some of this world's most dangerous bounty hunters and assassins who are eager to lay claim to their abilities or put an end to them permanently. Some have come frighteningly close, but despite possessing the power to stop the problem and even with his youth and inexperience, Novus is aware that they are unused to their abilities and worry that carelessly snipping that many strings may unravel the very fabric of reality. It is a blessing and a curse. Novus is still young-- barely out of adolescence, in fact-- and to grant this sort of power to a child seems like tempting fate. They could end the world in a single temper tantrum. The rest of the clan do not know this. Only Anno, a border guard and the one who found Novus (though where she will not say) understands their nature. She has yet to fully grasp their potential, but hasn't informed anyone. She's hidden them away in a cave in the lair, smuggling them food, teaching them to read, and guiding them as best as she can. It was a kindness she had been shown in the Clan of Rattling Bone and she took pains to make sure that Novus understood it. But there is only so much she can teach. Power like this is meant to be contained, controlled; already she is considering bringing in help from the mages. Sooner or later, the truth will come to light. IMPRESSIONS. Plump, rosy-cheeked. Very innocent-looking. Still quite youthful, and coming to understand the breadth of their power.
