B I O G R A P H Y

In the Dragonhome, the cult of memory is persistent and pervasive; whenever you look, wherever you go, statues and monuments reach the sky – memorials for events of the past, touchable, physical evidence and records of dragons and their lives.

And there is a saying that you can hear from the oldest Dragons; from merchants, who travelled the world from West to East and from South to North, or from Oracles and Healers. From Clan Leaders who saw the beginnings and ends of civilisations, from souls so ancient, they first became legends, then fairy tales. They would tell you, in hushed voices, in the tone of wisdom beyond your imagination: You are what you remember to be.

For Zeed, those words became a curse, a silent judgement, sentence for damnation.

When he woke up, years and years ago, he had been lost. Alone. Without context. Without any clue about his past, about where he came from - but his purple eyes, that glowed menacingly in the dark. They had guided him through the world.

At first, like a hatchling without a mother, helpless and afraid, he wandered.

And he learned fast.

Learned that violence and strength were the way of living; survival of the fittest.

So he trained, and fought, and killed, and challenged himself and others to the point where his scales were red from blood and his claws had rotten flesh underneath. However, one day, there came an opponent far wiser and stronger than Zeed. In the Water Flight, amongst lakes and rivers, Zeed had found his final failure and a new way of living. A salvation his whole soul screamed for.

Zeed had sworn to abandon his old ways, to avoid needless conflicts and use force only to protect and never to harm others. Instead of killing for sport, he became a Huntsman and declared to provide for anyone in need – and he had made sure, to never waste a life, even of the smallest deer. He had learned how to work with leathers and how to melt fat; how to re-use everything nature offered to him.

On his road to redemption, he had met a wonderful companion. The Tigerblood Foo was his first Familiar after he had settled in the Dragonhome. And even though Foo was his opposite, like day and night, talkative and eager to play when he remained cold and distanced, they became an inseparable duo. She had made him smile more and in turn, he had gave her a stable anchor and a place to call home.

Zeed is now a leader of his own Clan and with pride and silent love, watches his children grow not only in strength but in wisdom as well. He takes care of them all and apart from hunting with Foo’s energetic help, he trains the Clan’s other Familiars.
