Moeras is a peculiar specimen. He was born of, and has lived his entire life in the swamps of the Viridian Labyrinth, inches from the border of the Tangled Wood. Due to this, he is of a very... Dark... Variety. Instead of his birthright element, Light, he was born into a twisted, backwards version of the substance. It was nothing like Shadow, as one would assume to be Light's opposite.. No. It was something completely different, reminiscent of creatures that had been touched by the Shade. Because of this, Moeras was imbued with a sort of sleeper magic. It is strong, yet buried just beneath the surface of his psyche, leaving him unable to access it. This magic did, however, manifest into a barely discernible pull towards the Starfall Isles, home to the strongest coagulation of arcane magic on Sornieth. Once he realized that the ever lingering feeling in the back of his mind was said pull, he willingly went on his own to the Isles. His journey was tedious and lengthy. He nearly died multiple times, but either by luck, or by coming across a very kind clan of dragons, did he survive, but survive he did. As he came closer and closer to the Isles, he began to witness his true power emerging and taking form. He could summon mint green phantasms of his own design. He could change the microclimate of his general area at will. Small animals would do his bidding if he even spoke the word. He could generate his own set of armor. And, the best of all, he could heal any wound - only his own - with the swipe of a claw. He was ecstatic. So, too, did he notice his body taking a new form. He shed his scales, his fur, and even his pearl changed. His body shifted into an entity of pure arcane energy, spiritual, and his signature faint green. He was at his full potential as he stepped into the Isles for the first time in his life, and gazed in awe at the sheer number of individuals identical to himself. He was home. |
