she/they
animal handler

For all intents and purposes, Slither was morally good.

From a young age, she had been fascinated by animals. She didn’t have many friends at that age, so she sought companionship in critters and creatures who wouldn’t judge her for who she was. Her favourites were large, hulking animals; ones that seemed dangerous and were usually avoided simply for their terrifying appearances, when in reality they were nicer than one would think.

That fascination lasted as she grew older, to the point where she built her future around it. Caring for animals became her specialty, and when she joined her current clan, she was more than happy to become the animal handler, tending to the animals that lived with the clan. A lot of them were brought in by her, but so long as she could take care of them, she was allowed to do so, and she did so happily.

As their handler and protector, they took themselves very seriously. Any harm done to the animals under their care would always be paid back in entirety. So what if their methods could be seen as “unnecessary” or “too much”? They merely treated those who harmed their animals the same way those offenders treated the animals.

If they didn’t want her to be so cruel, they shouldn’t have been so cruel to those under her care in the first place. She was only performing equivalent exchanges.

For all intents and purposes, Slither was morally good. At least, that was how she liked to think of herself.
