A Broken Pillar
An ever faithful acolyte of the Lightweaver, Dust was a devout purger of evil entities and shadow monsters that constantly trickled into the Sunbeam Ruins from the Hewn City. That was, until she was gravely injured assisting her comrades with an unexpected influx of shade beasts. The pearlcatcher just barely escaped with her life, awakening several days later alone on the scarred field to find out the blow had completely severed her ties to magic. Distraught, and feeling useless to help purge demons without her arcane abilities, Dust left, thinking herself nothing more than a disappointment and dead-weight. Upon her lonely travels, she met Fairyfloss, a cheerful and laid-back tundra who's clan was journeying from the Tangled Woods to a new home in the Southern Icefield. Fairy invited Dust to join them, sensing a deep sadness in the lonely pearlcatcher. The rest was history; Dust joined Fairy's clan and before she knew it, she and the tundra had formed a close friendship. Nowadays the two are almost never seen without the other at their side. The happy- if only slightly smitten- tundra, and a pearlcatcher, ever grateful to finally feel useful and surrounded by companionship again. Despite their groaning whenever she fangirls shamelessly over the Lightweaver, of course.

Since she no longer has use for her warrior skills, Dust has comfortably settled into hobbies such as writing and gardening, often spending time with Clover to tend the courtyards, and Cinnamon to help with records. When nobody is around, drafting romance novellas serve as her guilty pleasure. She currently keeps all romantic drabbles and dirty fiction on hand in between the pages of her tome; misplacing it draws a rather frantic (and slightly humorous) reaction out of her. As a writer, Dust has always preferred to jot down her experiences, often times forgetting to make them additions to her pearl rather than paper. In consequence, her pearl is rather small.
