Kpaaji is literally fearless.

Literally.

Raised in Dragonhome by a clan-less mother every bit as stubborn as him, he grew up learning how to fend for himself. He also learned a healthy respect for the gods and the history of all the lands, although that was more an interest of his than of his Plague-born mother. His fearlessness and interest in the history of Sornieth combined to make him into a dragon more suited to the adventurous Wind flight than the plodding Earth flight. Because of this Kpaaji considers his allegiance to the Windsinger, although he still feels ties to the Earthshaker and respects all the gods. Mere mortals? Not so much.

He puts on airs to seem cooler than he is, but in reality he's just a huge nerd.

During his travels, he discovered and helped an injured and traumatized imperial, and the two quickly became friends despite clashing personalities - and then, seemingly inevitably, lovers. Though Kpaaji and Mosaic are almost complete opposites (Kpaaji is loud and fearless while Mosaic is terrified of almost everything), their determination to compromise means they manage surprisingly well. Mosaic also serves the important function of a danger barometer for Kpaaji, since he’s fearless almost to the point of stupidity. More than once Mosaic's caution has saved his life (and Kpaaji knows that, no matter how confident he acts).

Still, he's totally awesome and he knows it. No one with a hat this cool could suck.
