One morning, Jet, a Spiral dragon of the Aquam clan, awoke to a strange albeit muffled noise outside of the lair- almost like something was hitting the door. Being the curious one she was, she quickly uncoiled herself from around her familiar (which kindly allowed her to do so in the first place) and hurriedly made her way over to the entrance to see what was causing the noise.
Much to Jet's surprise, sitting right outside the door was a... hatchling? A pearlcatcher youngling sat before the door, tightly clutching a pearl to his chest. Furthermore, there was what appeared to be an Octoflyer by his side. Before Jet could question who the hatchling was, the Octoflyer suddenly slid right into the lair right past Jet and next thing she knew, the green ice hatchling was following it in. Figuring the young one was here because he was abandoned or something of that sort, Jet gleefully took him in without question, much to the surprise of her clanmates when they awoke the next morning.
Now, an adult pearlcatcher, Erik acts as like a 'diplomat' among the dragons of the clan and with relations with other clans too- and all the while he's kept the same Octoflyer he was with as a hatchling as a familiar.
