Biography

Ice sculptures
subspecies_cupcakecass_ice_by_lisegathe-dao6arm.png

Most Ice Sculptures are dragons who had previously been frozen as prisoners eons ago by the Icewarden himself. Others are simply dragons who had gotten lost in the highest peaks of the Cloudscape Crags and eventually froze to death. As the time had passed, the cold slowly sucked away all life and all color from the victims, replacing their flesh with ice and forming them into what they are today--preserved for eternity as beautiful sculptures of pure ice. These icy prisoners are excavated and reanimated to become Ice Sculptures, often gifted by the Icewarden himself to clans who have shown eternal allegiance to the God of the Southern Icefields. There have been cases, however, of Ice Sculptures becoming reanimated due to one of the Eleven.

This has been the case for Tsurara. Seishin - their seer - immediately fell in love with the Ice Sculpture and saw that in their future they would create many beautiful hatchlings. How was Groove to say no to the normally stoic and withdrawn prophet?

So Groove set out on his journey to the Southern Icefield, in order to plead with the Icewarden for Tsurara's reanimation. As the Clan Leader journeyed, he became increasingly more aware of being followed, and quickly realised that Seishin had thought of the same thing, and had set off to show the Icewarden what he had seen for the future.

The dragons begged the Icewarden for Tsurara's reanimation, and when the Icewarden had granted this request - Eden had been scared out of her wits when the small sculpture had moved - Seishin had requested the Icewarden of further animation. The Icewarden had been mildly offended by this request and had moved to strike the prophet down but Groove had covered the Nocturne's body so quickly and without hesitation that the Icewarden agreed to listen to Seishin's request. With passion and enthusiasm, the seer had wished for Tsurara to have her personality in full, and to be able to reproduce; but most importantly, he wished for her to be able to love.

The Icewarden was touched, his Ice Sculptures had never had someone who loved them so fully and genuinely before, and he agreed - Back at the Clan's territory, the whole Clan had surrounded Tsurara and cheered so loudly when water dripped off Tsurara and she blinked confused, that surrounding Clans were startled - to give Tsurara true life. Seishin was overjoyed and immediately promised that if he was to ever leave his Clan, he would come and serve the Icewarden forever; something that made the Icewarden smile and shoo the two dragons away.
