Mitsuki

Part V – Susumu beki michi.

Meanwhile, Mitsuki was at his home, thinking about his recent problems. He couldn't believe in his own acts. It was his idea after all.

`I swear to all gods, I will never drink booze. No more.`, Mitsuki claimed firmly.

He always belonged to those responsible and brilliant dragons that are first to give plenty of clever advice to dragons around him. With reason was he called sensei. Mitsuki's parents always wanted him to live in the Shifting Expanse, because he was a prodigy in their eyes, and that place was his mother's native land. Yet, he wanted to stay in the Scarred Wasteland, his true home. After many years he was able to call it a destiny. Mitsuki always wished for his own clan, then he met Takemasa, the transfer student from the Shifting Expanse who shared with him his own dreams.

`We must settle these things. I know, Negi will bring here some of his friends.`

He immediately came up with a certain idea.

`I should share my idea with Takemasa`

Two days later Mitsuki met up with Takemasa and his friend Junji. There was also a girl he has never seen before. She was Hiyori – Takemasa's childhood friend. She introduced herself and assured her help for the sake of capturing that bloody demon. Mitsuki was really glad he had that many dragons around him.

`So everybody, I have a plan. We're obliged to snatch that strange creature, hence we're supposed to form a fine team. Considering latest occurences, I'm almost in one hundred percent convinced that our thing will seek for more meat, so we have to prepare any to attract it with. The Scarred Wasteland is full of such things, so there will be no problem. Next, since Negi turned out to be indeed sensitive to supernatural things, he will be the tamer.`

`ME?!`

`Yes. You will try to speak to that creature if we manage to capture it. We also need to set a trap. Perhaps, some magic pattern will work in this case as well.`

`If you are sure this will work, then I'm into it`, Hiyori spoke up first.

The rest of company also agreed with her. As a four-dragon team, they went towards the Tangled Wood. What they've seen there was a genuinely extraordinary landscape of rotting corpses. The aura of decay was floating in the air. There was something hidden between the piles of corrupted and festering meat. A gloomy creature which resembled a dragon, but... A bit smaller. It had violet wings with jet-black cracks and a dark, stripped body.

`I'm afraid, our plan won't work...`, Takemasa whispered to the rest of team.

`Who aren ye?`(1), it spoke.

All four dragons became scared to death.

`Who somned me ther?`(2), creature spoke once again.

Mitsuki did a step forward the creature. He was able to understand her words a bit. It flew towards him instantly and grabbed his throat.

`Ich am Mahiro. Ich am the Helle Princess. Ye pulled me oute myn hom! Intollerable!`(3), she was about to crush Mitsuki's neck.

Takemasa couldn't bear the fact that his friend's life was in danger. He couldn't just stand there idly. He flew against Mahiro and seized her paws. She was surprisingly obedient. Everybody was taken aback. Indeed he was able to tame a demon.

`What should we do with her? Send her back home?`, Junji asked.

`Since It turned out that I really can control her, we should teach her our language, and maybe...Form a clan here?`, Takemasa's straightforward decision surprised everybody.

After many long conversations, dragons decided to form their clan in the midst of the Tangled Wood, and to clean after that demon hell princess' feast.
