Crippling shyness had grabbed Dusk's life by the horns from a young age, causing him to have very few friends in his life. The few he does have are rarely dragons; he is far more likely to place his trust in flora and fauna. Truly a gentle soul, Dusk firmly believes that his place in life is to care for the broken, the sick and the old, carrying a deep respect for all forms of life and considering himself to be a pacifist. His lair, seldom as it may be seen by a visitor, lies within the massive, sun-dappled hull of a Cloudsong airship, holding a myriad of blossoming plants and countless cots in the chance that any number of familiars must be cared for. Racks holding medicinal herbs and spellbooks of healing hexes line its walls, with the collection constantly growing as Dusk continues to perfect his craft. And, at the center of it all, Dusk can commonly be found softly singing some soothing melody to his plants, or to a wounded familiar as he treats them.

Within the clan, he is best known as the healer of its familiars, seeming to instinctively know what plagues them and how to treat their illnesses or injuries at once. While too timid to talk to, or even directly look at their owners, the imperial will often speak to familiars while their owner waits by their side, giving a precise explanation of their condition and his procedures to both of them.

Tales of Dusk's prowess have spread to seemingly every corner of Sorineth, with his apprentice, Alexie, coming to his side because of them. The Dunhoof had been fascinated by the healer's unique method of treating familiars; rarely did a dragon care so deeply for the safety and sanity of both familiar and owner. She began a journey across the continent, searching for Dusk and the clan he was said to reside in.

When she finally made it to the Windswept Plateau, like many travelers, she had grown weak, exhausted from the strain of being constantly on the move for near weeks on end. It was Daidra who first alerted Dusk to the ill Dunhoof waiting at the clan gates, guessing that she had arrived in search of him. The imperial wasted no time as he hurried to her side, gathering the herbs that could rejuvenate her strength and carrying her to his lair. As she recovered, Alexie made the decision to stay with Dusk, wherever his travels may take him. For now, that place is within Aerwyn's clan, and both dragon and familiar are content.
