It is said that if you give Loki an image of himself, the hatchlings will hear only of your glories, and not that time you slid down a hill and got your head stuck in a tree. It is also said that if a dragon is cruel to him, it does not matter how many enemies they slay or how much treasure they earn, all anyone will remember is that time they sneezed seafood out their nose.
This influence has earned him equal parts respect and resentment among the clan. Hence, the storytelling Skydancer tells his tales from the safe perch of his Guardian brother's head.
