Otieno

A lousy, do-nothing-good bum, Otieno came to Clan Prismzenith originally to serve as a Shadow Ambassador to Nakia, the matriarch. However, it was found out that he absolutely had no intention of serving the clan in such a manner; many are unsure of where he originated from, but it is rumored he got his wings tangled up in a rather hairy mess. Taking to a place where none would think to look for him- the sun-drenched Windswept Plateau, and later the Sunbeam Ruins- it was obvious he was hiding in plain sight. As much as he bemoans the light and hisses violently about sun allergies, he still resides in the clan. The most notable thing about him is he never removes his mask around others, instead hiding away his forehead gem (and sometimes, one or both pair of antennae). The reason for this is a mystery.

Otieno fits the stereotypes of a Shadow dragon very, very well; he is quick on his feet and quicker with his words. He will not hesitate to slyly compliment another dragon if he feels it is necessary. As a self proclaimed creature of 'utmost magnificence and beauty', he searches after pretty things to decorate himself with- and will try and find others to 'help decorate him' as well. He loathes physical labor and will often be found lounging around rather than flying or walking anywhere. He will absolutely try and woo anyone in his path, but thankfully he's respectable enough to avoid people who clearly aren't interested. He can frequently be found lounging in the shadows, helping himself luxuriously to his fill of the clan's most expensive bug stores, only aiding the clan when it comes to major bartering with expensive purchases. Many hold contempt and loathing for him for his poor attitudes and selfish nature.

...That's what many have been lead to believe. The truth is much more intense when it comes to Otieno's past. As a child once overrun by a rare recessive strain of gembond that lead his parents to abandon him as it was unlikely he'd live let alone ever fly, the skydancer learned to somehow survive- and even thrive- in the harsh Tangled Woods. Given the one positive effect granted to him by his genetic disorder, he was able to adapt and use his magic to learn Shroud early on- in which he could meld with shadows and move that way. After coming to a head with a shadow assassin clan and training under their wing, he soon began the path of stealth and information gathering. Working under the codename 'Aquamarine', given to him by the overwhelming amount of pale blue gembond on his body, he became an expert thief.

His information gathering lead him to a horrible discovery with a cult named the Society of Agrestka Rigra; the group, who were anti-Shade extremist who blamed the shade solely on the Shadow flight and their goddess, the Shadowbinder, were set to plan a massacre on the eve of Starfall Celebration, many many moons ago. Trading in the information to Icewarden officials, he used the leverage to have most of his past erased, and 'Aquamarine' vanished for over a decade...

His other familiar is named Zrezea (she/her), a Willowisp Peryton- Prismzenith received her after aiding an unnamed clan solve a mystery with a necromantic, ill coatl who attempted to suck the life out of one of their members. Zrezea belonged to the coatl in question, Valentaine. While the rest of the clan seemed to dismay at the fact that these familiars had been owned previously by a felon on the run for attempted murder/actual murder, Otieno didn't seem to mind and claimed the shadowy Peryton. Kunzita took the other Peryton- Nifea- who can track down Otieno and anywhere they may be.
