T H E O B R O M A

61st son of Aleena and Ayin, and Interior Designer and Constructor of Steel Crest Cove.
A Euxenite dragon who found peace in Steel Crest's shores and love with a gentle dame named Ganache.

Theobroma is a crafty dragon whose job is to inspect and keep track of the general layout of the main Steel Crest caves. He is rather pushy much to most dragon's disdain, paying little care to personal space, but does not have ill intentions. All he usually needs to see is if any structural damage has been caused inside cave walls, and he pays no mind to any- if any- naughty or secret belongings the residents own. He leaves every room a rather annoying mess, though.
In his off time, Theobroma is often outside and appreciating every blessed sunny day and cool night with his love, Ganache. The two are a sweet and endearing pair most younglings look to as their relationship goals. Theo is glad to be in a peaceful environment after being raised in the midst of rising tension and disorder in his previous clan, but he fears he cannot run away from his worries forever.

Theobroma's Assessment of Steel Crest Cove's Layout
The official design of Steel Crest

- General: Steel Crest's main cave is a large rock with cave carved into it's exterior. There is one main large entrance to the front of the cave where the four rulers reside just within the opening, and several caves outside that are small. One long cave reaches around the back of the formation, inhabited by Jehuty and his workshop, and behind the beach is a deep, thick mangrove that eventually leads to the Tangled Wood. Inside the main cave, it quickly descends into an almost verticle underground opening miles deep until it reaches one massive room, where underneath it's floors the ocean begins, tunneling out to the deeps. The number of caves depends on how many inhabitants there are at the time and perhaps how many there were. Each dragon either takes an empty cave or digs out their own, and nesting happens in their own abode.

- Upper Lairs: The upper level consists of the high peak of the cove's cave, mostly inhabited by more flighty dragons such as Artemis and Ataashi. The caves themselves are small, and for dragons that appreciate a more cozy and quaint lifestyle with plenty of fresh air. Any Imperials inhabiting here either live on the outside around the peak, or stay in the sky.

- Ground Level: The ground level's largest cave is the entrance to the main cave itself, and just within resides the caves of the four Guardian leaders, giving them quick and easy access to visitors when they arrive. There are few other caves in between and deeper inside before the cave spirals down into the lower levels. On the outside, there are open caves with warm sandy floors, and one long cave stretching across the back of Steel Crest. Jehuty's workshop is the start of where any electricity and technology is integrated into the rest of the lair. The large rock formation is rather close to the ocean, high tide giving just enough room for an Imperial to land.

- Inner Dens: Past the entrance is a declining steep, almost a hallway of lairs and caves all the way down to a slope to the underground hollow. Many dragons live here, public rooms distinguished by decorations and wide entrances, some of these including rooms for socializing, hatchling care facilities, storage, and large dining dens. It is cozy in here, albeit a little more humid than some dragons of different Flights may prefer, but a suitable home none-the-less. Towards the very back is a huge room before the hollow, where Flight Representatives meet and warrior dragons use as an exercise or training room.

- The Hollow: The hollow is a massive, dark underground cave gently lit by various glowing flora and decor. Most of this is inhabited by Marred, Steel Crest's alchemist who is more or less stuck here. The floor is a few feet above a deep pool of water that leads to a tunnel going to the ocean. Few dragons live in their own caves here, those who prefer a very quiet and dark place to rest.

Outside

- The Sandbar: The cave rests on a large sandbar that quickly recedes into deep ocean. The sandbar ends on either side, following into the thick mangroves that lead to Shadow Flight territory. These sunny shores are luxurious, and many of the dragons spend their time basking in the sun while hatchlings play in the shallows. Friendly visitors and traders arrive here, where Steel Crest's residents can clearly see and prepare for their arrival.

- The Mangrove: Surrounding the back of the lair is a thick, deep mangrove that can confuse unfamiliar travelers. Here, some dragons make their home protecting the borders of where the Water Flight territory ends and where Shadow Flight begins. It is dangerous, and mostly dark with light barely filtering through. An attack would be ideal here if massive dragons like Hissra weren't perfectly at home in this murky land. Annually, the mangrove is set on fire to take care of it's extreme growth after being thoroughly evacuated.

- The Shallows: Off the sandbar begins the harmless shallows of Steel Crest's territory. They continue to they are just deep enough for an Imperial to submerge in before a massive drop off into the depths. It is heavily defended and visitors are often carefully escorted through the intricate currents Aquarius has put in place. Carefully placed boulders also breach the water's surface, bringing more defense to the clan's front.

- The Depths: The depths of Steel Crest's waters are marked mostly by visible currents, and deep trenches cut into the ground below. The deepest part has a tunnel connecting directly into the lair.
