Princess of the Akashaa, Heir to the Throne

B I O G R A P H Y

Born to the Auroral Dissonance, her father Nacrea the clan's beloved Seer, and Felwen, is a Prince, son of Elvenka. Maewyn, taking after Nacrea, was given the gift of Sight, though in a different way- the little princess is a Dreamweaver, allowing her to construct and give dreams to those she knows, and walk within them.

Maewyn was selected to marry the Prince before her egg even began to crack- her father could sense there was something about her, something invaluable. So they contacted the Akashaa, drafting a letter on wax paper and sealing it, and sent it across the sea, imploring the Queen to consider hastening the alliance between their clans, and, if possible, have her marry one of her hatchlings to theirs as her heir, despite their original agreement. Queen Porcelain, sensing an intriguing urgency, agreed, and awaited news of the heir she was to consider taking in.

The Queen had intended to fly out upon the first word of the eggs hatching, though was delayed by her own beginning to crack. Her son, Gael, emerged, a perfect solid pearl, the first of her children to look this way. She chose him to be her heir, holding him to her chest and placing a gentle kiss on his forehead, and felt a breeze pull at her mane. Upon opening her eyes, she found a letter, bringing word of the egg of her son's mate-to-be had hatched, healthy and robust, ready for her arrival.

Maewyn was brought forth, though she hadn't begun weaving dreams yet. The Queen was firstly intrigued by how she and Gael had hatched on the same day, and second, how their colors, and even many of their markings, were identical. Disinclined to any superstitions, the Queen took the girl under her wing, agreeing to solidify the alliance between the Akashaa and the Auroral Dissonance by marriage of her heir to the girl.

Maewyn grew to maturity with her clan, as per her fathers' request. Upon coming of age, she moved to the Ruins to marry Gael. She's a very soft and gentle soul, growing up in a time of great peace and loved by her fathers. Her markings changed as she grew, developing her weaving, and changed the runic symbols along her sides to a delicate wave, never before seen by the Akashaa. The healers believe it comes from her gift of creating dreams, though others whisper of the demons walking within the dreamscape, old tales from nursemaids to wide-eyed hatchlings of dreamwalkers caught between worlds, or ripped from their bodies from the enemies in others' minds and cursing their bodies...
