Orsimer was raised with one goal in mind: killing werewolves. Of course, he can kill other monsters as well, but werewolves made his stomach churn with anger and disgust the most, so he focused on eliminating them. Every day he works day in and day out to find new, more advanced, and more creative ways to track and kill werewolves. Fiercely protective, he tries hard to protect his clan and creates new technology to keep them safe from monsters, and especially werewolves, by the day. His hatchlings look up to him, and each and every one is raised with a focus on the same goal as Orsimer’s.

Dunmer has worked her entire life to contain her inner wolf, unlike many other werewolves, which she knew were violent and could be brutal. Though, when the fighting broke out between her pack and another, she had to push past her normal calm, docile manner and fight for her family. She got to a point where she couldn’t stand it anymore, and she ran from her pack. Dun made her way to Dragonhome, where she was found by Orsimer. He seemed like a dream come true at first, kind and loving, but she quickly found out he was nearly addicted to killing werewolves, like her family. Thus, her wolf side had to be hidden, permanently. She was successful at this for a while, that is, until Orsimer and her had a hatchling, El, that carried the gene.

Orsimer assumed their child was bitten, and Dunmer knew that the difference between life and death hinged on her agreeing with him, so she did, and let him swiftly take care of the hatchling. It broke her heart, and this was the first time she felt any draw towards telling Orsimer about her hidden inner wolf. She wondered what would happen to her if he knew? He had been unbelievably protective thus far, but what if he knew that the things he hated so much and tried so hard to protect them from… were no different from her?

Would he still love me, even if he knew?"

It was inevitable that Dun wouldn’t be able to handle such immense pressure as tensions grew more and more high-strung, and one day, she snapped. Orsi was about to try to kill another one of their hatchlings, and she couldn’t contain herself enough to avoid attacking him. If that wasn’t enough, she did so in wolf form, revealing herself to him after keeping it a secret for so long. She expected this to be the end, but Orsimer couldn’t find it in himself to fight her. He was conflicted- this werewolf, this monster, was still his love, right? He couldn’t do it despite all of his training, so he fled. He hid in a cave deep inside the Greatwyrm’s Breach to stop and think about it all, his sworn duty battling against his love for his mate and his family.

“Orsimer, get out! Save yourself! Run!”

All Orsi could remember was the night his parents died. He heard his mother’s voice calling out to him every time he considered going back to Dun, telling him to run, the wolves will kill him.

Dun sent the other hatchling away to protect him, hoping he would be able to hold in his wolfish side like she had for so long. She told him to be safe, and to not stop running until he was somewhere that would protect him. Dunmer then hunkered down and hid in her and Orsimer’s lair, mentally readying herself for a fight she knew she wouldn’t be able to let herself win.

When he never came, she went searching for Orsi. It took a few days, but she found him lost and praying nearby the world pillar. She felt her heart break to see how broken down and confused he was, almost like she had been when he had found her all those years ago. Her fear told her to run, to keep herself safe, but the memory of him walking up to her all those years ago and saying he would protect her was prominent in her mind. So, she did the same. She walked up to him, and told him that she loved him.

She talked about how she had run from her home because there was so much violence between the packs and she didn’t want to be pulled in, she didn’t want to act like they did. She talked about her children, and how she had quietly told them how to control themselves, but Elsaly hadn’t been strong enough to keep the secret. She talked about how desperately she wanted him to still love her, but she also told him that she understood if he didn’t.

When she had finished, Orsimer was quiet for a long time. He seemed lost in thought, and Dun wouldn’t dare interrupt his thinking at a time like this, especially because it could be the difference between her life and her death. He eventually turned to her and very quietly admitted that he couldn’t bring himself to fight her. He told her that he loved her too much to turn on her, despite what he now knew she was: his sworn enemy. He told her he wanted to try to love her still, he wanted a second chance now that he knew. Dunmer was overjoyed, and the pair slowly made their way back to their lair to start their new, secret free life.
