Who cares for the paragons or right?
This world was meant to complex be,
Stories need love and misery
To bind their listeners by the fire -
Paint their faces with delight and desire,
The shadows form faces, the monks and the guards,
The keepers, the cooks, the heroes, the gods.

Tricky may we in the shadows be called,
But we keep the stories to hold the world enthralled.
