Seepferdchen is a kind, open-hearted dragon. He got a good heart and has never spoken ill of anyone. The guardian tends to look at the entire situation and get both sides of the story before making final decisions on what to do, as he doesn’t want to feel he’s being biased. Some dragons say he still seems to enjoy spending more time with his aquatic creatures and plants than other dragons but he merely gets sucked into his work a little too often. Lore: The guardian grew up in the Fishspine Reef with his family. From an early age he took an interest in the aquatic life around his home and as he grew older would swim and diver further and further from home to study the creatures in their natural habitats. He began making sketches and notes on water proofed parchments and started seeing the connections between the lives of the creatures he watched and the clans that lived all across Sornieth. Eventually, Seepferdchen left to go study other Flight's aquatic life, from Shadow’s swamps to Ice’s freezing depths. It was at the Ice clan White Claw he was staying with when he met an imperial named Abyssa, who also shared his love for marine biology. The two exchanged notes and worked together to discover new forms of life as well as learning more about the previously known specimens - though the two had too much respect for the wildlife to ever experiment on them like other dragons would. They rarely even took anything out of its natural habitat. It stayed like that for a while until word got out that a new volcano had appeared in Fire and was said to be created by Flamecaller herself. Seepferdchen set off immediately to check out how this new landmass had changed the ocean in the area. He joined the Adventurer’s Guild - a group he’d temporarily stayed with in his travels before, but decided this time would most likely be permanent. In his new searches of the water he found a seemingly mutated - or perhaps entirely new - species of frog that looked like fire was shifting under its skin. Molten lava. With this new creature found, Seepferdchen’s obsession with his research burned brighter and after deeming the new species of frog Lava Frog or Lava Anura, he would spend hours checking in on the wildlife and hoping to discover other new things. As a marine researcher and biologist, Seepferdchen’s job is to study the marine life and take notes of any new discoveries without causing destruction to the subjects of his studies or the environment. In his free time, he enjoys swimming around with the marine life in the warm waters, especially around the new volcano, or taking care of any specimens he took home to temporarily watch closer or take care of if they appear ill or injured. Occasionally he will also settle debates on issues that arise between dragons and changes to the marine life in the area with a leveled head and fair judgement on the best options for both sides. |
