Scattered throughout Sornieth, there are hidden pockets of pure wilderness. Devoid of dragons or beastkin, these places are becoming more and more rare. The Gladekeeper, worried for the ever shrinking wild lands, worked together with the Windsinger and with the Maren, Talonok, and Harpies to try and preserve these beautiful and dangerous locations. Together, they chose Bunyip and Fakahatchee to guard the Grand Intersection. The Grand Intersection is a small and unique biome located at the intersection of Fire, Water, and Wind Territory. The plants and animals that live here cannot be found anywhere else, but with the increased tensions between the dragons and the beasts, this region's habitat is under threat. This is where the Stewards of the Wild come in. Fakahatchee, together with Bunyip the Wind Imperial, Stranahan the Harpy, and Kissimmee the Maren, patrol this habitat and do everything they can to keep dragons and beastclans from destroying this environment.
Fakahatchee was born to a clan comprised of Coatls and Wildclaws, working together to survive in the Wilderness. The Shrieking Wilds were a vicious and unfriendly place to live, and surviving every day was a feat unto itself. While Wildclaws doing the majority of the meat hunting, the Coatls caught fish in the dangerous currents of the rivers that flowed through the Labyrinth. Fakahatchee was adept at surviving on her own, catching everything she needed to live off the land. When she was old enough, she left her clan and decided to spend her life alone in the wild, fending for herself. She developed a reputation as a fierce and solitary Coatl, which probably explained why the Gladekeeper approached her with a special task. Without hesitation, Fakahatchee accepted and traveled over to the Intersection to meet her compatriots. Though a quiet bunch, the four of them were united by a common goal: protecting the wilderness. To do that, they each set off to guard a portion of the wilderness from outsiders. The four survive off the land, never asking for help or getting it. Trespassers are dealt with severely, and threats are discussed and dealt with swiftly. With the blessing of both The Eleven and the United Beastclans, this project is one of the only examples of beastclan and dragon cooperation, though the Stewards could care less about all that. The only thing they care about is protecting the wild.
