Biography
Calix was raised in an earth clan. His parents are both ice wildclaws and he has many relatives in Ice, though he has heritage in all 11 regions of the world. Originally a geologist, Calix has developed an interest in studying healing and medicine.
Calix was born in an earth clan and was raised in the ways of the Earth Flight. He still reveres and lives by the way he was raised. Although his parents were both ice dragons, they got along well in Dragonhome, living in the ancient caves of Greatwyrm's Breach and often keeping company with old nomadic snapper clans. His father, being born during the Mistral Jamboree and the Four Winds zodiac sign, loved travel and frequently roamed Dragonhome, following snapper clans or exploring the many caverns of the realm. His mother was born in the Month of the Germination and is the Hunter & Gatherer zodiac sign. She was mostly in charge of raising their children. His father's passionate love of exploration eventually rubbed off on Calix's mother and they often led their children on expeditions throughout the caverns, fighting off otherworldly adversaries when necessary. Their risks were always carefully calculated, though, since they were both from intensely logical families. But, mostly they were exploring to seek out the ancient art in the caves and collect beautiful gems. In effect, they were geologists and their clan had a large collection of rocks and gems, which they devoted much time to studying and categorizing. This background combined with his being born during the Flameforger's Festival resulted in Calix being devoted to striving for perfection in his profession. He is naturally curious about how things work and likes to study new things.
