Felix is the Draumer Den’s Treasurer and very much believes he is fighting a vicious battle between wise investments and the frivolous spending of his clan mates.. In order to placate the inevitable financial downfall, Felix seized control of funds and began setting up his own financial firm within the Den. The residents were, of course, outraged at first but, when their seized assets began to return dividends under Felix’s care the lair as a whole decided to allow Felix to control their funds. Provided he makes the exception of giving a dragon their money if they outright demanded it.

A difficult dragon to miss Felix bears the appearance of a dragon bound for warmer lands. It is a popular rumor that his coloring is the result of his fondness for gold and that he might one day become a statue to its honor. Those who live in the den, however, know that while his outward appearance may be resplendent his personality bears a greater resemblance to heavily tarnished brass. Sharp-tongued and unyielding in regards to financial pursuits, any dragon in the lair will tell you Argonia might make you fear for your life but Felix, Felix will make you afraid for your future. Still, if you need financial counseling there’s no better dragon for the job than Felix.

Felix is believed to have been hatched with the kind of luck that only happens once every hundred years. With a four leaf clover sprouting from his seed pod and his golden coloring the clan that adopted him quickly came to understand their good fortune and placed him in charge of their finances even before he had been properly trained. Overconfident in his ability Felix felt he could do no wrong and for a time his perfect luck countered any and all of his financial blunders but inevitably his luck folded and it cost the lair a small fortune. Felix quickly amended his mistake but the damage was already done. His lair had lost their faith in him and Felix eventually left in shame and cut all ties with the lair proper. He began a lengthy journey from lair to lair attempting to outrun his reputation and learning all the things he should have from the beginning. His travels eventually led him in the direction of the Draumer Den. With no financial advisor of its own and a lair full of spendy ambitions, Felix went to work immediately setting up a savings vault and butting heads with the local populace. After a time Felix’s reputation did reach the Den and Felix began to make preparations to move on but after a long stern conversation with Argonia the night before he was due to leave Felix suddenly decide to stay. No one knows what was said that night but Argonia’s continued faith in Felix’s abilities was enough to keep the others from being too concerned with Felix’s reputation.

While most would agree Felix is essential to life in the Den, few would call his company pleasant. A visit from Felix generally means that someone has attempted to purchase something expensive or has otherwise blundered in their spending. Felix butts heads with Pashek and Hubble especially as he deems their professions as needlessly expensive luxuries. On more than one occasion Felix has been explicitly banned from the Tavern until Argonia can facilitate a compromise. Despite their many Grievances with his attitude, no one in the Den would put their financial trust in anyone else.

The Fortress of Ends

Felix considers Marco’s little adventure to be one of the clans largest financial mistakes. While many lives were saved and the archeological finds were ‘priceless’ Felix couldn’t care less about either. The fact remains that the Draumer Den barely broke even on Marco’s venture and when one takes into account the damage to the lairs reputation the amount of potential treasure loss is likely even greater. If Marco decides to pull another stunt in the future he will have a very difficult time convincing Felix to back it.
