backstory
- mother died when its younger brother emilio was born
- father worked constantly
- ultimately had to live with rico's family, as hessonite couldn't support both his sons
- though much better off now, it still resents its father and brother. it avoids them as much as possible

personality
- has a short temper that gets set off easily (to rico's delight)
- puts on a stoic façade to cover up empathy
- gets very uncomfortable with intense, emotional situations, and will do anything to avoid them
- thoughtful, whether he realizes it or not. often culminates in him taking into account what foods to avoid when cooking dinner for his partners, or giving presents to hatchlings

- has a lot of upper body strength

- acts as rico's impulse control. he likes to tease it (much to its chagrin)
