Personality Affliction has an odd personality to his being. Some days he is talkative and adventurous while other days he is reclusive and lethargic. In between these phases is a masked horror waiting to erupt. Affliction always attempts to put on a friendly first impression to traveling dragons. If said dragons fall for it, they will only realize their grave mistake when it is too late. In reality, Affliction is a ruthless emperor who could care less about the dragons around him. He does not show much affection towards Hecate. Physique Affliction has the body of the typical bogsneak. He is quite lean and has a clear belly. The plague corruption has left him with a gaping, fanged wound in his neck, along with a large eye that sometimes leaves him blind for a couple of hours. He has two other eyes on his shoulder and arm, which he has covered with bandages, along with small blisters. Along his fins are smaller eyes that do not cause him any issues. His wings had since decayed into flesh, making him absolutely flightless. Likes & Dislikes Affliction doesn't seem to like anything besides pygmy hippos, his favorite meal. It is possible that he may enjoy fighting or hiding away in complete darkness. He may even have affection for Hecate, which he locks away most of the time. Now and then he will be seen reading scrolls and books. Affliction completely despises nature and light dragons. His hate for nature could simply be taught while his hate for light is unknown. He also despises the disoriented spirit that has haunted him since he was in his teens. Affliction may also dislike water, odd for a normal bogsneak. This can be due to irritating the blisters on his body. |

Affliction never seemed quite right the moment his egg was laid. It had been fairly darker than the other eggs and it was feared that he was already rotten. Once he was hatched, it was discovered he had nearly pitch black eyes and the emblem of the Plaguebringer above his head. He was destined to take the empire at that very moment. Growing up, Affliction had always been odd. His belly slowly began to turn clear and wounds started to form on his body. It wasn't until a fanged wound formed on his neck that it was declared he was corrupted. Most saw this as a blessing from the Plaguebringer herself and cherished him. Others, typically those not plague-born, avoided him at all costs in fear of catching the plague. He would continue to change up until adulthood. Affliction soon made the grave mistake of exploring an ancient ruin near the edge of shadow territory in his teens. As he explored the ruins, he accidentally disturbed one of the structures and awoken the spirit of a long forgotten spirit. He fled as soon as it had manifested, not knowing that he was now cursed with it for the rest of his days. After the encounter with the spirit, his personality flipped and he began to show no interest in anything. He would grow up to remain like this.

During the time of the rebellion, Affliction hid within a cave some ways away from the empire. He spent his time trying to shoo away the disoriented spirit and writing down his thoughts. He didn't think much about how the rebellion would affect the empire or who would make it out alive. All of his thoughts remained on what he was going to do. Several months after the rebellion and the exile of his great x8 grandmother, Nightshade, and her mate Vectus, he was found by Riot. At the time, he had found a mate named Hecate and cherished her. Riot had explained what had happened and that he needed to take control of the empire. Affliction at first did not have any intention of going back, but the thought of power quickly changed his mind. With that, he took hold of the empire. His personality flipped once more after taking control, his feelings for Hecate dying down greatly. The two soon had a child named Bile, who is now the heir to the empire. |
